CLASSIFICATION
Bands will enter the competition according to the number of WIND musicians only. A band may enter a higher classification but not a lower one.
Class A: 1-24
Class 2A: 25-49
Class 3A: 50-74
Class 4A: 75-100
Class Open: 101+
ADJUDICATION
Bands will be adjudicated following GMEA Caption Judging rules. There will be 2 adjudicators for Music Performance, 1 adjudicator for Music Effect, Visual Performance, and Visual Effect. These judges will rotate for finals peformance.
There will be an adjudicator for Percussion, Visual Ensemble/Color Guard and Drum Major. Units that perform with competitive bands will receive trophies for first, second, and third place in Class.
Finals Placement is based on the top 8 band scores for preliminary competition, regardless of Class.
AWARDS
Prelims Awards:
Awards will be given for Ratings as well as for and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in class for overall Band, Percussion and Visual Ensemble, and Drum Major.

Championship Finals:
The Championship Finals will be adjudicated the same as the Prelims. In addition to the Grand Champion Trophy, each member of the Grand Champion Band will receive a championship medallion. Bands placing in 2nd to 8th place will receive an award. Awards will also be given for High Music, High Visual, and High General Effect.
HOSPITALITY
A Directors’ Reception area is available for the exclusive use of the directors and staff. We invite you to take some time to meet, mingle and relax with each other.

A Drivers’ Hospitality Room (for bus drivers and truck/trailer drivers) will also be available.
​
Concession stands and specialty shops will be available throughout the event.
​
Due to safety concerns, tailgating and cookouts are prohibited on the FCHS campus.
